Parkwood Seniors Community

Donor Recognition and Wayfinding Design for Delphine and Lloyd Martin Apartments

As part of their continued expansion, Parkwood Seniors Community engaged Studio Locale to design a donor recognition wall and wayfinding signage for the newly constructed Delphine and Lloyd Martin Apartments, a residence built for adults aged 60 and up seeking carefree, independent living.

Our approach combined accessibility with elegance, ensuring the signage system was intuitive, welcoming, and reflective of the thoughtful design of the living spaces themselves. The donor wall was created to honour key contributors while seamlessly integrating with the building’s architecture, offering a timeless and respectful tribute.

Clear, consistent wayfinding elements were developed to help residents and visitors navigate the space with ease. All signage was designed to meet AODA standards, with attention to legibility, contrast, and placement to support safe, independent navigation for all members of the community.
